Within CluB-12, the B12-Alliance is the community of patient advocacy groups with relevant expertise and experience. The purpose of the Alliance is to use their shared resources and combined expertise to raise awareness, share evidence-based research and inform the healthcare profession and public about B12 deficiency and about conditions where B12 deficiency is a consequence or risk factor.

Research agenda

The B-12 Alliance has identified a series of topics highlighting some of the questions that would need priority from researchers and clinicians for the benefit of people with B12 deficiency. These include a variety of topics related to pathophysiology, diagnostics, and treatment. This list is currently expanding, and we will publish topic descriptions once these become available.

cluB-12 is proudly supporting the B12 Alliance in delivering a Parliamentary Reception at Westminster on 10 September 2026, to drive meaningful reform of NHS B12 policies and improve care for all patients. We aim to raise £30,000 to support the event, advocacy, education, and engagement with media and the public.
